Not that I ever could, but it's worse now with a crappy connection.

The fact that I have nothing I want to share doesn't help either.

Sure, I've been tweeting on MySpace and Facebook (see what I did there? I'm using a social network as a verb for other social networks, nifty!) so my first idea for a blog entry was "[Juan Carlos] is getting ready for bed.".

Not gonna cut it. Neither is the fact that I don't know if the last sentence in the previous paragraph merits two periods or not.

So for now, I exit once again, today, Thursday (which is like a Friday which is equal to "noone-reads-blogs-today-day" here at Blogger, uh efx2).

I AM glad, however, that I can come back here and do whatever I want whenever I want. Even at midnight on a Thursday, to a non-existent audience.

if you have a period before a " mark and at the end of a sentence, you only need that one period. not two.

I think you can do both. It may be an American v. British thing.

The controversy (I think) is that a final period is that, final and nothing can come after it whatsoever but another sentence.

The other side argues is about completeness or "closure", where, as in a programming language, you must end what you started, in this case, if you open the quotes, you should close them before anything else gets in it, like a pesky period.

There's noone around me with internet worth my stealing skills.

Going legit with DSL from AT&T. Got it in seven minutes (four of those on hold) and it will be self-installed.

Take THAT, Time Warner and your two month wait.

I only got internet. You should drop the damn phone line, optimize your internet connection so that u can use that for international calls . . . . do you even make international calls?

John and Ariel swear by DSL. Ariel is big on networking and John works in IT.

Oh, remember Omnidrive (the one we never use)? Ariel pointed me to Filephile. It lets you access someone else's computer files, so if we are "friends" on that network, we can exchange files. it's pretty fast.
