Obama Is Going To Lose

I'm a better debater than he is.
He should be creaming McCain but he keeps being amiable and taking the bait. McCain is throwing all this crap which includes facts, lies, accusations and half-truths but he says them succintly. He interrupts, he jabs and Obama does nothing! Obama needed to directly face McCain yet he keeps stuttering. "uhhs" and "uhmms". He should make his point, beat McCain's argument in one or two sentences and keep going. He needs to stop using "maybe this is why"s and "this is where McCain and I disagree"s and more of "you are wrong"s and "my plan is this: point, point, point"s Maybe he needs a n*gga moment. He just said "Let me respond, actually I understand pretty well"? Are you fucking kidding me? Just SAY what you have to say and stop using connecting sentences. You're audience is Americans, short attention span? We lost you back on your first "uh-uh-uh". You just wasted precious seconds. I've won debates with less syllables than he used there. Fuck man!
Innocent?

Palin pre-empts state report, clears self in probe
Not! If you get past the feeling of despair, this election is very entertaining.
Afraid much?

Seems McCain supporters are getting quite a bit angry.
"Off with his head!"? Seriously? Is "let's lynch him!" next? I'm worried of having a gaggle of idiots (again) running the country, these people are terrified of someone they either don't bother knowing more about or have been fed lies about. And WHAT THE FUCK is up with all the noise about the Palin photo on Newsweek? Bad lighting?
It's a portrait you imbeciles! Not a beauty shot. Not a glamour shot. A portrait is supposed to capture character. Good portraits showcase for you something of the subject besides their physical beauty (except for those truly beautiful people for which a portrait is a beauty shot). You can also see what the photographer is about too, but you gotta fire up a couple of synapses. Does the photographer have a "say" on how this portrait is made. Duh! Are photographers biased? Absolutely. But this is not the photographer's "fault" (if fault is to be assigned for anything). After the photo is taken, an editor decides where the picture goes and how it's shown. That editor can make that photo look however he wants. Remember OJ Simpson? (not from last week, but from 14 years ago)
On the left is the un-retouched mugshot taken of Simpson on, hey, it's Newsweek!. On the right is the same mugshot edited to make it look more sinister (darker, more contrast, vignette). One more thing, Newsweek usually doesn't retouch cover photos (except for that Martha Stewart thing in 2005). Oh and about "bad light". Look close at her eyes and notice the light sources: a softbox above and to her left and either a reflector or another light below to balance the main light. Look it up. This type of light is flattering . . . . perhaps Ms Palin is not as "beautiful" as people think?

The iPod Touch now has a microphone.
How did I miss that in the Keynote last month? Now there's an application to make VOIP calls for it: Fringe Take that AT&T! Yes, I know it's just been released. It's probably buggy. VOIP calls usually suck. You can only use it on WiFi. Still, for the occasional international call or for when you leave your phone pisses you off beyond belief (I'm looking at you, Nokia brick!), it's an adequate choice. Now I just need about $300 (I know it costs $229, but I gotta have me some accessories).

I usually hate these "i-reports" from CNN. Mind you, most of these are inane ("look! my cat is so fat!") others, like this one, show a closer view of something relevant that others may not be able to see.
By the way, this was apparently shot on a "jailbroken" iPhone.

"make computers chewy"? Last time I heard something similar was when OS X was introduced ("aqua: lickable"). On a related note, the phrase "they run tight" has no literal equivalent in Spanish, so the man outside the store would not have uttered it. If they wanted to translate that phrase, it would be something like: "son como uña y mugre" ("they're like skin and nails", i.e. "they're close") And what the fuck was the "adjusting shorts" part about? If I were Bill, I would have taken the churro.
